Step-by-Step Video Sketch: Daily Creative Exercise

15 April 2008 3 Comments

You may have read or heard me talk about doing something creative everyday in order to maintain that creative “edge”. This is an example of doing just that. Out of all of the creative exercises that I can find to sharpen my artistic abilities, there’s nothing better than old fashioned sketching!

I recorded this quick sketch so that you can join me from start to finish! [vodpod id=ExternalVideo.507667&w=425&h=350&fv=]

Very nice. Was this a digital sketch?

    Yes it was!

Last year I commited to doing more illustrations completely digital from start to finish.

I used to sketch them offline first, scan the penciled or even inked art, then use the computer only for coloring.

Now it’s sketched and colored all digital.
