The Arch Enemy of the Artist and Designer

We mentioned earlier, the artist or designer has a special, powerful and unique ability.
Like the classic super hero, you, the artist have the unique ability to see the unseen and to make the invisible visible.

But with every super hero, there is an archenemy, a primary nemesis, an enemy whose sole passion is to destroy the super hero:

LUCIFER-

Lucifer, a disgruntled and former "Angel of Light"

Arch Enemy Profile:
Name: Lucifer
Known Aliases: Satan, Beelzebub, The Devil, Dragon
Abilities: Influence, Distraction, Stealth and Invisibility

Method of Operation: Satan’s greatest strength is his ability to influence human beings into believing that- God doesn’t exist, what God says about them doesn’t exist, and that he (Satan) himself doesn’t exist.

The enemy wants access to your talent.

Satan Revealed

Satan’s desire is to destroy God’s greatest creation, mankind. Satan recognizes the power of influence in the Arts. Since he has no creative ability himself, he seeks to influence artists, musicians, dancers, film makers, actors, etc. to use their God given talents for his purpose. He pursues access to our talents in order to use as a “weapon” that influences the thoughts, moods, feelings and ultimately, the choices and actions of people.

This villain’s choice weaponry:

Noise: He has created an environment where the artist is bombarded by messages, music, sound bites, etc 24 hours a day. This “noise” makes setting aside Quiet time to hear from the Creator seem so unusual. Keeping the artist distracted and out of the presence of the Creator is his goal.

Mind Control: This villain does such a notoriously uncanny job at twisting the truth of God’s promise to the artist. Satan has them believing that “right” is wrong and what we’ve called “wrong” is now right.

Invisibility and stealth: This is probably the most important weapon the enemy has. The ability to wreak havoc, as mentioned above, while making people believe that he doesn’t exist.

So how do you battle this foe:

James 4:7 says: “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Resisting Satan, or going in the exact opposite direction that he wants you to go in, causes the devil to flee from you. Pursuing a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ allows your artistic ability to be under the influence of the Holy Spirit of God, rather than that of Satan. You will walk out creatively what God had in mind for you as His artist. This places the powerful tool that your creative talent is back in the hands of the one who designed it in the first place.
