More Sketches to Keep My Skills Up

Here are two new sketches as a part of my “Do Something Creative Everyday” campaign.

I was inspired from watching a documentary last night on Norman Rockwell. It showed how he captured facial expressions by using live models.

I put a twist on Mr. Rockwell’s method by having live models (my daughters) pose so that I could capture their facial expressions. Then I would flesh out the character so that it would have a sci fi look and feel.

    Thanks, G!

I had fun with these, and my kids did too.

    Have fun, brother!

  2. You know I’m gonna “borrow” the “Recharging” sketch, right!
Man, as always, good practice sketches…they are well proportioned and alive…not easy to do except through practice.

    Thanks for sharing.
    How can I post some?
