The following email not only blessed me and encouraged me as an artist, but it brought a wave of seriousness to what I do also. It immediately reminded me not to take my gift for granted, that it is NOT trivial because art can touch the lives of others.
Here’s what was sent:
“Tony,
Just thought I’d drop you a quick line to let you know how much I appreciate your artwork and your site. My daughter bought me the “Savior”poster a few years ago because I had talked so much about how it perfectly captured the picture in my mind of my rescue. I framed it and put it up in our young adults Sunday School classroom. I also teach a Bible study I wrote called “Carpe Diem” and show the poster while listening to “Set Me Free” by Casting Crowns. Thought you would like to know you’ve made an impact!
Thanks!
J.H.”
What this email teaches me:
That God cares about what I create, especially because He uses it to impact the lives of others.
I’ve included a video I found set to the song “Set Me Free” that was mentioned above, and I was amazed at how even the color scheme for the opening scenes reminded me so much of the digital painting.

Amen!
You never know.
Let the love and Spirit of God be our motive for the work and trust that He’ll do the rest.
Thank you for this reminder, friend.
