Some of you have shared your feedback on Bravo’s new reality show “Work Of Art”. Interestingly enough, your feedback has been positive overall, but a recent episode caused many of you to raise an eyebrow. Friend and ALFG subscriber Pastor Dave Weiss of The AMOK Arts Tribe has a recent video that sums it all up. Watch and especially wait until the end as Dave has an additional thought-provoking moment as well:

Well put, Devin.
When I first saw that their guest was the artist that did the “crucifix in the urine” piece, my first reaction was “Here we go again! Here’s the artworld shaming what we lift up and lifting up what we consider shameful.”
I did appreciate, however, the final outcome and the basis of how the winner was chosen.
I’ve only seen that episode, but I plan to watch more!
Tony-
My God this blessed me. I didn’t get offended at the pieces, necessarily other than that they were stupid. When people do stuff like put crosses in urine (which I missed that part of the episode), I wonder what has caused them to go that route. What’s going on in their minds that causes them to do that stuff? How can I show them the love of Christ?
Obviously something is wrong with that person and they feel the need to blaspheme. Something happened to them at some point in their lives and they were driven to that. I say this because I have noticed that even sinners do not feel comfortable disrespecting God. Sometimes I find they are more respectful of God than some who profess Christ.
In the end, that episode was the first I watched and I thought that they were being stupid. However, the guy that won really got the idea of being “shocking”. I believe, kind of along the same line as Dave, that the easiest way to shock people is to challenge society to change its problems.
