Got A Plan for Your 2012? Satan Does

I believe that satan has a Strategic Plan already mapped out for 2012.

I also believe if YOU don’t have a Strategic Plan for yourself for 2012…you’ll be a part of his.

Like a shrewd business person or cunning general, he has a goal, tactics to meet that goal and a deadline.

    @Gimel-

Before I give my answer, I want to see what others say to your questions (you may need to provide a little more insight…)

Gang? Anyone want to take a stab at it?

“Follow up question to question 2: Do we deal with procrastination or did Christ deal with procrastination on the Cross?”

“Follow up question to question 6: Is our purpose and assignment predicated upon God’s grace or self-determination?”

  2. Thank you for your patience, doc?
Just so that you can understand where I’m coming from…
There are two gospels messages being preached: Christ is enough vs. Christ is not enough.
For the past 12 years, God has been leading me out of a “Christ is not enough” mindset concerning every aspect of my living, especially concerning art.
Meaning, “Have faith in Jesus concerning your eternal destination, but when it comes to this everyday life…you need to apply a little will-power and get-right in order to finish the race.”
And your reference to Joshua is exactly what I’m talking about. The old covenant the Jew’s were under is a God commissioned, man accomplishes covenant, but the new covenant that we are under is a God commissioned, God accomplishes covenant. God made a promise to Himself to bring His plan to pass; we simply join Him in bringing it to pass, right?

I thank God for your tolerance and allowing me to work this out.

Follow up question to question 6: Is our purpose and assignment predicated upon God’s grace or self-determination?

  3. Tony, help me out…

What’s the difference between Satan’s strategic plan 2000 years ago and his plan in 2012?
Why should we be motivated by what Satan’s doing, anyway, wouldn’t that produce works out of fear?
Why should we care if Satan derails us…he can’t derail Christ, isn’t that the train that we’re on?
If its God’s plan/vision then why does everything depend on me?
Can you reconcile the “Pain telling me what I am born to do” post vs. being “led by the Spirit”, for me?
What if I don’t draw, create, or design another thing, will God be mad at me?
Is Satan’s objective is for us to “do nothing” or to fall from grace?

Please hear my heart, I’m not suggesting inactivity, nor am I saying that we shouldn’t be good stewards over all that God has entrusted us, but creativity is a form of grace…not law, right?
I believe that we can waste God’s provision concerning His vision, but works should stem from what God “finished” opposed from what needs to be accomplished, right?

    • @Gimel-

Ooo! OK, Mel; I’m gonna try my best to answer as much as I can…Here goes:

      1. What’s the difference between Satan’s strategic plan 2000 years ago and his plan in 2012? The plan for 2012 (God’s and the enemy’s) involves us personally.

      2. Why should we be motivated by what Satan’s doing, anyway, wouldn’t that produce works out of fear? Not fear, but an awareness. Seeing procrastination as a distraction from the enemy motivates me to counter it and it also gives me a hint about how powerful my talent really is (otherwise why would the enemy try to stop it?)

      3. Why should we care if Satan derails us…he can’t derail Christ, isn’t that the train that we’re on?

If its God’s plan/vision then why does everything depend on me? Christ (the anointed one) came to “anoint” or “empower” us to do something. I like to call those “somethings” the “Assignments”. satan cannot stop what Christ has already done to empower us, so he tries to prevent us from completing the assignments that we are empowered to complete. You see an example of this in Joshuah 1, where God tells Joshuah He has already given him the promised land…now God’s sending him into the land to enforce what He’s done.

      4. Can you reconcile the “Pain telling me what I am born to do” post vs. being “led by the Spirit”, for me?
(Would you mind posting a question on that actual post itself?)

      5. What if I don’t draw, create, or design another thing, will God be mad at me?
Maybe more disappointed and really heartbroken. See my reference to Matthew 25:14-28 in this post where I spoke to that>>
Is Satan’s objective is for us to “do nothing” or to fall from grace?

      6. Please hear my heart, I’m not suggesting inactivity, nor am I saying that we shouldn’t be good stewards over all that God has entrusted us, but creativity is a form of grace…not law, right?
I actually don’t of think either “grace vs law” when I think of my God-given creativity. The words I hear more of are “purpose, plan” or “assignment” and the fulfilling of each.

  4. Now that you’ve explained a bit more, Tony, I do see that we agree completely.

I know that if I didn’t have money coming in from another source I could not do my online webcomic for free. Or even work towards starting a ministry in my local area.

Having a plan is necessary. Schedule your time well, be a good steward of both funding and your time.

    Hi Martin!

In actuality, I think we do agree because of the point you clarified: “The only way that we can be part of the Enemy’s plan is by DOING NOTHING.”

…and that is the area most creative people fall under- having a million ideas yet taking no action on them. Here’s what I mean:

    1. Our God-given creativity is incredibly powerful because art, music, literature, etc, all impact how people think and in turn what people do.

    2. The enemy knows this, so his strategy is to either:
a)Get the creative person to write, sing, draw, film what he wants…
    OR
b)Put the gift on the back burner and do nothing with it at all.

Having a Strategic Plan is a concrete action toward seeing God given ideas become reality and do what God intended for them. This even includes how to finance the project.

Most creative people will fall into the camp of those that take no action on the idea nor the funding of the idea.

The inaction of either of these is exactly what the enemy is counting on, thus fulfilling his strategy.

    • I agree that the two of you really agree. I think those who have been stuck in a pattern for years understand the enemy’s desire to keep you inactive.

That is his plan, derail the train or keep the train in the station. The second option is easier.

    • I agree that the two of you really agree. I think those who have been stuck in a pattern for years understand the enemy’s desire to keep you inactive.

That is his plan, derail the train or keep the train in the station. The second option is easier… for both parties.

  6. As you wrote: “I also believe if YOU don’t have a Strategic Plan for yourself for 2012…you’ll be a part of his.”

I have to say that I disagree with this particular statement. While I do say that you need to have at least a basic plan of what you wish to accomplish for the Kingdom in the coming year, if you don’t and you choose to follow God’s leading from day to day and keep in prayer and the scriptures; then I don’t see how you or any of us can be a part of the Enemy’s plan.

The only way that we can be part of the Enemy’s plan is by DOING NOTHING. Yes, you read that right. When we do nothing, we play right into his clutches. Let’s be aware that life as a Christian is a mission field, and no matter what we work on or do, let it be for the Glory of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. In this way we can fulfill the Great Commission and God’s plan for us as individual creators/writers/artists on a day to day basis regardless of planning.

We are salt and light to the world, and our job is to shine that light to the nations (peoples of the Earth). If we do this, then we consistently battle the Enemy’s plan in both our lives, and the lives of those around us.
