” I NEED A WEBSITE/ONLINE PORTFOLIO.”

We Recommend WORDPRESS to create a free online web presence:

This is the software that we use to run this site. It is the quickest and easiest way to launch a web site, especially one that works hand-in-hand with search engines. And it’s free!

It’s easy, no tech expertise needed, will allow you to communicate with visitors and connect with your Facebook and Twitter pages as well. It will also allow you to grow to another level after that, once you’re ready.

Go here and sign up for the self-hosted version. It will then show you themes that work best as gallery sites.

Or click the logo below for the version to use with your own hosting service:

“I WANT TO PUBLISH MY COMIC/ GRAPHIC NOVEL/ BOOK.”

We Recommend LULU.com as a great print on demand (POD) option:

We recommend it because it is easy to use, professional look and feel, very affordable (you don’t pay for anything you don’t sell), and it’s a great way to fine tune exactly what your audience is willing (or not) to buy from you in print.

I am so NON-techie. Whats the difference between a website/blog and web hosting? I want to create a website where I can eventually sell original art. I need all the help I can get!!!

      Hi Robert! Here’s the difference:
Your website/blog is the actual site itself.
Web “Hosting” is what you pay for in order to keep the site up and running every month.
It’s like you phone and your phone bill. The actual phone you use as a tool (like the website) and the company you pay monthly to keep the phone turned on (that’s like web hosting).

Robert, feel free to email me and I’ll be glad to give you a little more insight to point you in the right direction (as well as save you money!): tony@artlessonsfromgod.com

    Hi Gimel-

Yes, I have personally used each of these tools including LuLu.com.

I was pleased with their service and end result. I used them for the sketchbook-devotional project I published and have been selling over a couple of years:

Also, fellow ALFG subscriber Frencci Rivera used LuLu.com to publish his novel “Among Men and Serpents”:

I’ve seen the finished product of his and it looks great.

  3. Wow!
Have you used or know someone that has used LULU to publish something?
